COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS:

**Mail Carrier's Food Drive

*We are volunteering on Saturday May 9, 2009, 2-6pm 

at the Beaverton Post Office for the Mail Carriers Food Drive,

Volunteers must be 16 or older per Oregon Food Bank Guidelines

(if you are under 18 your parent must sign a waiver).

Please contact Allyson 503-649-0132 to sign up or get a waiver.

We will be meeting at Arin's House at 1:30pm

 to Carpool to the Post Office.

 

CLOTHING & TOILETRY DRIVE (ONGOING)

Please bring clean new or used socks, winter clothing, shoes or new toiletries to distribute to

local families in the community,

 Sunshine Pantry and

 the resource table at Potluck in the Park. 

Special Thanks to the Glider Ridge Dollar Tree, 12635 SW Walker Road, Beaverton, OR 97005 and

 Farmington Mall Dollar Tree, 17475 SW Farmington Rd, Aloha, OR 97007

 for their participation and cooperation in this project!

APRIL DAYS & HOURS OF OPERATION

Afterschool Program : Monday-Thursday 2:30-6:30pm.

 

Special Events:

2nd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt & Open House Saturday 4/11/09 11:30am-1:30pm

Public Welcome Fun for all ages.

 Hunt for Easter Eggs and eggs change for prizes. 

Meet the Easter Bunny. Refreshments provided. Raffle tickets for sale for $1.

 

Earth Day Planting, Team Building Games & Saturday Sessions @ Arin's House: Saturday 4/18/09 3:30pm-9:30pm

Plant some perennials and bulbs.

Play team building games.

Try the challenge course.

Followed by Saturday Night Sessions at dusk.

Open Mic, Food, Music Jam, Pool, Air Hockey, Foosball, Video Games & Board Games.

Are you in 6th-12th grade?

Are you  Interested Music, Art, Computers, Games, Food and Making New Friends?

Come visit us at Arin's House a teen center.

Rather than paying fees our members pay it forward through volunteer service.

Service hours are tracked and can be utilized for resumes, scholarship applications, honor projects and to fulfill high school graduation requirements.

CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE FOR DOERNBECHER'S HOSPITAL   (March 1-April 1, 2009)

Please bring new children's books to donate to Doernbecher's Children's Hospital. Books may be dropped off at Arin's House during hours of operation or Saturday Sessions.
