Thank you to all of that attended our First Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt and Open House. We appreciate your kindness, support and generosity. We look forward to doing this again next year. Special thanks to all of the volunteers who helped this event run smoothly we couldn't do it without you. Arin's House is open Monday-Thursday 4pm-8:30pm. Saturday Sessions are offered April 5th (Fiesta Night) & April 19th (BBQ Night) from 7-11pm. *Please note we will close at 6:30pm Thursday, April 24, 2008 to accomodate our Executive Board Meeting from 6:45-8:00pm. Volunteers needed, please meet us at THPRD Nature Park, bring work gloves, loppers, hand pruners and a reusable water bottle. We will be helping SOLV clean up invasive plant life and litter at the Nature Park. Thank you to all of the donors, volunteers and members who have supported Arin's House and are continuing to build a better community through service. It is through your kindness, generosity and dedication we are able to continue our programs and activities. Spring is in the air, and spring break around the corner. Arin's House will offer special interest activities Monday-Thursday and on both Saturdays during spring break. March is also bring a new friend to Arin's House month. We invite you to bring somebody new to join in the fun. Hope that everyone has a happy and safe spring vacation and we look forward to seeing you at the teen center. March brings a few changes to our monthly calendar and daily operations. Special Events: *Saturday March 15, 2008, 2-4pm- Songwriter's Workshop with John Shipe Interested in learning more about songwriting? Then you'll want to make sure to attend this event. John Shipe has an original 200-plus song repertoire (shamesessly crossing and blurring the genre lines), a decade of touring, radio airplay, and nine recording projects. 27 Shipe tunes have played on 100 independent and commercial radio stations, without the support of a major record label ( www.johnshipe.com). *Saturday, March 22, 2008 11am-1pm, Community Easter Egg Hunt & Open House Fun for all ages. Arin's House will be hosting several easter egg hunting sessions (by age groups). Rather than having prizes or candy inside the plastic eggs, there will be a written number inside the egg. Eggs will be taken to the Arin's House Eggs Change and eggs changed for Arin Bucks. Arin Bucks can then be traded in at our prize table for your prize of choice. We will also be hosting an Open House so that the community can have the opportunity to visit our new location. Please bring your family and join in the fun! There will be 4 opportunities to join us at our Saturday Night Sessions this month. Hope everyone had a Happy Holiday Season and New Year! Sorry for the belated update, our website has been experiencing technical difficulties. Hours of Operation: Arin's House is Open Monday through Thursday from 4-8pm. Additionally we are open on the first and third Saturday of each month from 7-11pm for our Saturday Night Sessions. Daily Opportunities: Homework Help Computer Lab Afternoon snacks and nightly dinner Recreation Area (Pool Table, Air Hockey, Guitar Hero 3, Board Games) Music Recording Studio Music Jam Room (Upright Piano, Electric Organ, Keyboard, Congas, Electric Guitars, Bass, Acoustic Guitars and various percussion instruments) January Fundraiser Avon Calling Annie Condit, Avon representative has provided catalogs to Arin's House so that we can sell products through January 28, 2008. . Project Warm Up Many thanks to those who contributed winter clothing (coats, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, long pants, sweaters, socks and shoes) in December. We distributed these items to many people down at the Resource table at Potluck in the Park in December.
