To provide teens a destination that is safe, fun and enriching while making a positive impact on the community through volunteer service.

We provided a home away from home for students 6th-12th grade during the critical unstructured and unsupervised hours after school and on some weekends at no cost to them.  Our members keep occupied with healthy, educational, charitable, musical, artistic and techno-driven pursuits.

Unlike other afterschool programs, membership was based on participation in community service projects. "Community service was an equalizer for us", says William,"because no matter how much money you have or how well you do in school, everyone has the same amount of time" 

  

We strived to create a sense of belonging essential to building self esteem during the teenage years. Our members have gained confidence and self esteem through their volunteer service efforts.  They have discovered the joy of giving to others and have recognized that collectively they have the ability to accomplish anything.  Service hours were tracked and can be utilized for resumes, college applications, club projects or submitted to high school for approval for credit.
